Journey to Colorado for a Wild Water Park

You typically don't find lumbering dinosaurs or ancient mummies at a water park. (That's more the province of Disney and Universal theme parks.) But Water World Colorado, near Denver, is not a typical water park. Built in 1979, it is a pioneer in the industry. From its humble beginnings as a two-slide park, the 64-acre behemoth has grown to include nearly every water slide and ride imaginable, including the highly unique, dinosaur-themed Journey to the Center of the Earth. This year, it debuts Mile High Flyer, a launched uphill water coaster. Read more about Water World Colorado.
