Wild Rides Now Open for Wind Seekers

This time of year always puts a big smile on my face. After all the hype from the parks and a long off-season, parks are finally starting to open and debut their new attractions. This past weekend the 301-foot tall spinning swing ride, Windseeker, opened at Carowinds. To put that nosebleed-worthy height in context, the attraction is now the tallest structure in South Carolina. (Although the park is officially located in Charlotte, it sits astride the North Carolina/South Carolina state border.) Windseeker is getting rave reviews, along with Wild Eagle, the "wing" coaster that opened on March 24 at Dollywood. The two attractions are among a bevy of new goodies.
